We’re seeking a Canadian-based reliable, detail-oriented, creative, and confident website designer with an eye for design, confident running projects independently, all while maintaining a high design standard that aligns with our studio’s work and clients brand guidelines.

ABOUT THE COMPANY:

Danielle LaBonté Designs is a boutique branding and graphic design studio located within Hamilton, ON. Danielle LaBonté Designs creatively and strategically upscales businesses through high-end branding design and strategy. Since 2017, we have worked with ambitious entrepreneurs and mid-scale companies offering a wide-range of custom-tailored services to each individual client.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leadership of design and development of custom websites

  • Translating brand systems and guidelines into polished, conversion-focused sites

  • Managing website design projects from start to finish with minimal hand-holding

  • Communicating to the team via email and Slack

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graphic Design Diploma or Degree or Equivalent Experience (2+ Years)

  • 2+ years designing sites in Squarespace, Shopify, Wordpress (Elementor), and Wix

  • Strong knowledge of CSS and HTML

  • Strong SEO practices and knowledge

  • Copywriting and layout strategy skills

  • Strong design taste and attention to detail

  • High-level of clear and proactive communication

  • Confidence to work independently under set client deadlines

  • An emphasis on client experience and a high-level of care

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Experience partnering with agencies as a white-label designer

  • Interest in ongoing partnership work from April-August, with potential for jumping on long-term beyond the initial period
