Impressionist Art Catalogue

EDITORIAL DESIGN

This is an art catalogue for the Impressionist exhibit found at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. This is an example of two spreads within the catalogue in the printed format.

BEHIND THE DESIGN

The design is inspired by imperfect paint strokes often see in the Impressionist art era as a tactic to achieve a stippled effect. The cool toned colour palette evokes the same colours often seen in popular Impressionist artist’s work, such as Claude Monet and Vincent Van Gogh. The typography and layouts have been left minimalistic to balance out and offer attention to the art pieces within the exhibit.
